Hala has been dancing to the rhythms and melodies of the Middle East since she was a child in Alexandria, Egypt.
As the only Bay Area belly dancer from the Middle East, Hala has been praised for her authentic form, elegant style and immaculate rhythms.
Captivating audiences with her passion and energy, she performs solo and with her troupe. She recently performed with Hossam Ramzy & his band in London, England and presented her cultural heritage at the Los Angeles County Museum of Arts in celebration of the King Tut exhibit.
Hala studies regularly with Egyptian master teachers and brings the
latest dance styles, music, fashion and traditions from Egypt every year. She also teaches classes, leads workshops featuring internationally renowned dancers and choreographers, and organizes annual music and dance tours to Egypt.
Hala founded the Hala Dance Company to present and educate the public about the wide spectrum and richness of Middle Eastern dance.
The Hala Dance Troupe performs a wide variety of Egyptian Folkloric and Oriental Dance and was selected from over 115 dance companies to perform at the 26th annual San Francisco Ethnic Dance Festival in 2004.
