Jumanah has an instinctive understanding of the soul of Middle Eastern music, and has been told that she “feels it like an Egyptian”. Her performances are laced with a sensuous yet playful personality, and her energetic style is a favourite at local restaurants, haflas, and stage shows.
Jumanah's style is constantly evolving. Though firmly rooted in the traditions of Middle Eastern Dance, she continually strives for originality in expression, and continues to study with some of the most preeminent dancers in the field, including Hadia, Jalilah, Sahra Saaeda, Selma Ferchich, Raqia Hassan, and Yousry Sharif. Jumanah is known for her exquisite Raqs Sharqui, but her versatile repertoire also includes beautiful interpretations of Baladi, Saidi, Tunisian, Turkish Rom, Tribal, and fusion styles
