Introduction
Performance Group from: Chicago, Illinois, United States (available for travel) Troupe/group dancing with my student troupe "Ro-He" as well as solo oriental dance artist. Sonya Hohmann is the owner of Arabesque, herself a veteran on the competition arena as both Winner (Golden Navel & Midwest BellyDance Challenege) & judge (MEDINA & Tizi's Golden Navel). Arabesque Dance is Located at 3703-5 N. Elston Avenue in Chicago, IL, 60618 Join anytime! Sonya believes that dance lessons should offer quality instruction as well as fun. She strives for good communication between instructor and student so that the student can be excited about their progress. Choreography-The Discipline of Mind & Body, Arabesque classes focus on the individual, with technique over choreography in goal. Classes and private lessons begin with a warm-up, instruction in isolations & the basic steps then move to intermediate combinations followed by instruction in the more complex combinations. Individual attention is given to all students, with variations to accommodate differences in students if need be. Class then commences a cool down, followed by an oppourtunity for discussion if students feel it is necessary.
