In a perfect blend of Brazilian and Peruvian cultures and their contagious rhythms, Veronica has been studying dance since the very young age of 5. As well as starring at Washington DC festivals and cultural centers, she has been in Europe, South East Asia, Brazil, and now back to India.
In great demand as a performer and instructor, Veronica has an innate ability to weave the subtle nuances and textures of oriental music into movement. She has a dance background that includes studies and performances in Middle Eastern, African, modern, ballet, and Latin dance forms, moreover training at the present Kathak under Sunayana Hazarilal from the Banaras Gharana founded by Pt. Janaki Prasadji. Veronica’s unique, exciting and colorful dance style is the understanding of the very soul of Raks Sharqi combines with a world-fusion repertoire that ranges from samba to interpretive dance.
Besides performing, Veronica teaches workshops and private classes. She is currently busy with the creation of the Music and Dance Department at Whistling Woods International Film School and the hosting of the Hafla Lounge: The Art of Bellydancing at Zenzi. In addition, Veronica has taken a Yoga teacher's Diploma, which has allowed her to develop a new concept in dance awareness and meditation.
