Asar Yasmin is a highly acclaimed tutor and choreographer and has been teaching professionally both in the UK and internationally since the 1980's. She teaches her own unique and elegant style of Egyptian dance, has made several TV appearances in the UK and abroad, and has directed several arts theatre productions.
Training Schedule:
Asar Yasmin takes weekly graded classes on Wednesday evenings at Longfleet United Reformed Church, Longfleet Road, Poole, Dorset. She also runs her own Poole-based troupe, 'Jewels of the Nile', and takes inspiring workshops at festivals and events, and is happy to travel nationwide and abroad. Topics include: Folk, Baladi, Classical and Modern Egyptian Dance, Turkish Gypsy, North African, and props: veil, scarves, finger cymbals and tambourine. Yasmin runs her own festival in Dorset, the South Coast MED Fest.
