Introduction
Nancy RedigBelly Dancing Instructor from: Tallahassee, Florida, United States We have beginning level classes at 3 locations in Tallahasse. Our higher level class: Beyond Basics, Intermediate/Advanced, Troupe level are held at In Step Studio. All locations have mirrors, easy to work on floors, and are fully heated and/ or AC. I've been teaching for 12 years and have education background. My emphasis is on understanding the dance holistically through musicality, culture, and physical fitness. And, it has to be fun!!! Our beginning classes have 26 weeks of basic steps with some choreography, introduction to finger cymbols and entry level veil. The Beyond Basics class continues with specific zill rhythms/steps, more complex choreography, and old school veil (tuck and untuck) The Int/Advanced includes floor work, fast hip work, double veil, spinning, more zills, candle, prop balancing and improvisation as well as advanced choroegraphy. The troupe work emphasizes team work, spatial awareness, entrances and exits for a professional show. I have a small boutique at In Step Studio and some of our items are on the web at Halimeda's Oasis.
