Samoora has been dancing to Arab music since she was 5 years old and joined the Middle Eastern Dance classes from 1995 in Paris at the well
known "Centre de Danse du Marais" where her first teacher was Leila Haddad, one of the best Belly dancers in the world.
She has also been taught by some of the top Egyptian Choreographers and Dancers as Raqia Hassan, Aida Nour, Yasmina of Cairo, Soraya, Kadhafi in Cairo, Egypt and Morrocco of NY, Serena Ramzy, Zaza Hassan, Khaled Mahmoud in UK and Yasmina Ramzy and Aziza of Canada. Samoora is still working and learning from Khaled Mahmoud, Yasmina of Cairo regularly.
Samoora has been teaching Raks sharqi for years now, her dance specialties are M.E.Dance, particularly the Egyptian Cairo style and Khaleegy. She can also teach any other Arab Dance, eg. Algerian, Tunisian, Moroccan etc... She travels occasionally to other places to teach workshops.
Instructional Themes: Oriental dance, Egyptian baladi, super shimmies and hip articulation, flexible belly, Belly Workout. Understanding Arabic rhythms, using appropriate Arabic mannerisms and gestures and how to feel and sing to Arab music with your body and soul.
Training Schedule:
Samoora's classes and workshops (see Belly Dance Venture programs by El Amiraat see website) focus on posture, technique, re-inforcing core moves and isolations (including torso, chest, hips, arms & hands).
